At the end of the first season of its new start, Formula 2 is offering two test weekends at the beginning of December, in order to build its next grid.

Rallies for F2 tests

Benjamin Bailly, winner this season of the Formul?Academy Euroseries (discipline which will be renamed F4 Eurocup 1.6 in 2010), will take part in the tests F2 from Valencia, next weekend. The Belgian driver will be able to try the car developed by Williams and powered by Audi.

A few days earlier, Andy Soucek, winner of the 2009 Formula 2 championship, will be in Jerez to take part in the tests for F1 with Williams, reward for his title acquired this year.

Other drivers are expected for the F2 tests, such as Ricardo Teixeira. The 27-year-old Angolan driver, entered this season in the GP2 Series, has not scored any points after the eighteen races contested with Trident Racing.

Johan Jokinen, 19, will also be in Valencia to take part in the first weekend of F2 testing. The Dane, after a learning season in the Formula 3 Euro Series with the Kolles & Heinz Union team, hopes to distinguish himself in the new discipline, by fighting on equal terms with the other competitors.
