Regional: race 1 for Oliver Rasmussen

Pierre-Louis Chovet will blame himself. Author this Friday of the first pole position of his career in car, the French driver (Van Amersfoort) experienced a nightmare this Saturday during race 1 of the Catalan round of the calendar. When the lights went out, he actually stalled on the grid just as the lights turned green and the beasts were released.

For his part, Oliver Rasmussen (Prema) got the better of Dennis Hauger (Van Amersfoort) at the start. The Dane, who started 3rd, took the lead at the first corner and never let it go again, just ahead of Arthur Leclerc, who made a superb start from 5th place. As is often the case in these categories, the Top 5 was fixed from the first corner, with Dennis Hauger 3rd for his debut in the competition after a season in the FIA F3, Patrik Pasma 4th and Gianluca Petecof 5th.

Thanks to his fine second place, Arthur Leclerc took the opportunity to regain eight of the eleven points he was behind Gianluca Petecof at the top of the championship. Thanks to a superb pace and an attacking race, Pierre-Louis Chovet managed to recover somewhat by moving up the peloton and taking a final 7th place. Race 2 will take place this Saturday at 17:05 p.m.
