Surtees: “Henry could reach the top level”

Driver of the all new Formula 2, Henry Surtees died on Sunday following an accident during the second race at Brands Hatch. His father, John Surtees, the only driver to have been world champion on two and four wheels, paid tribute to him this Monday.
« Henry followed his instincts from the moment he got behind the wheel of a kart. He took the balance between motorsport and studies seriously, and had just completed his A-level (Advanced Level, equivalent to the baccalaureate). »

« The world was open to him and he had the opportunity to concentrate on motor racing. »

« Despite the bad luck in his discipline, he showed that he was one of those who could reach the high level. Despite his young age, he demonstrated maturity, technical understanding and speed »

« The most important thing is that he was a good person and a loving son. He will be greatly missed. »
