Vernay finishes in style

Jean-Karl Vernay, winner at Hockenheim during the first meeting of the season, waited until the F3 Euro Series ends its season at Hockenheim to return to success. On a wet circuit, the Frenchman started on wet tires, before having slicks fitted to gain grip on a drying track.

Back at the head of the peloton, Vernay was able to overtake Christopher Zanella on the last lap before securing his second victory of the year and moving up to fifth place in the general classification.

« This race was really crazy, noted the Signature driver at the foot of the podium. I switched to slicks with fourteen laps to go and was able to progress to the lead. I am happy to be fifth in the ranking thanks to this victory; that was my goal for this weekend. »

Third, Mirko Bortolotti recorded a welcome podium, he who came to replace Brendon Hartley, who was in Spain for the World Series by Renault. Fifth in the race, Valterri Bottas secured the rookie title, despite his lack of victory this season.
