W Series – First details on the 2020 season

Launched this year and reserved for female drivers, the W Series will offer the entire current peloton financial rewards at the end of the inaugural campaign. The first champion in the history of the series will be presented with a substantial check for $500, with her runner-up receiving exactly half of this sum.

The distribution for the following places will be done like this, with all participants rewarded at the end of the championship.

2nd place: $250
3nd place: $125
4nd place: $100
5nd place: $90
6nd place: $80
7nd place: $70
8nd place: $60
9nd place: $50
10nd place: $40
11nd place: $30
12nd place: $25
13nd place: $20
14nd place: $15
15th, 16th, 17th and 18th places: $7
Reserve drivers: $7

For 2020, the W Series will allow the first champion to defend her crown, since the first 12 classified in 2019 will be automatically invited in 2020. For the following ones, the selections will have to be repeated.

Note also that the W Series will offer points for the FIA ​​Super License, the key to one day accessing the F1, without the exact attribution having been revealed. The championship heads to the Netherlands this weekend on the Assen track, still on the sidelines of DTM German.
