Alexey Lukyanuk: “This title is more valuable than the previous one”

This second title was decided after a rally of the Dantesque Canaries…

This was the most complicated round of the calendar. The ordeal was very difficult to manage. The changing weather made tire choices very hazardous. This was very surprising since, during our previous participations, the conditions had been constant and pleasant.

How did you feel in the Canaries when you won the title?

We had a difficult end to the race. I was not at all satisfied with my performance. It was stressful because there was the possibility that we would lose our 7th place. It's not usually a place worth fighting for, but here we needed to score some more points. We mainly focused on driving and I completely ignored the title.

When did you realize it was done?

After arrival, freed from a huge weight, I began to relax. I was able to smile a little more, because the atmosphere was pleasant with many congratulatory messages.
