Bryan Bouffier: “It’s a hell of a piece”

After a breathtaking performance at Monte-Carlo, the opening round of the 2011 IRC, Bryan Bouffier was more discreet at Rally Canary Islands. The Frenchman and his co-driver Xavier Panseri only finished in seventh position. This weekend, during the Tour de Corse, the 32-year-old driver will aim to regain the lead in the championship.

“I discovered it (the event, editor's note) in 2006, as an opener for Nicolas Vouilloz (winner of the 2008 IRC Challenge, on Peugeot 207 S2000, editor’s note). It's a hell of a piece, but a turn is a turn and we know that the 207 S2000 is on pace?
explains the Peugeot France driver.

Bryan Bouffier is only two small points behind Juho Hänninen, first in the general classification after the first two events. But the Finn from Skoda will not be there this weekend. It's up to the crew of the Peugeot 207 S2000 in French colors to take advantage of the opportunity to take the lead.
