ERC – Alexey Lukyanuk confirms his program

After finishing runner-up in 2016, Alexey Lukyanuk will make his return in ERC remaining engaged in a Ford Fiesta R5 prepared by H-Racing. The Russian decided to continue playing in the European Rally Championship after being tempted by the WRC 2.

“We will return to the ERC with the aim of fighting for victory, commented Alexey Lukyanuk. We tried to engage globally, but these projects depended on the support of our partners. This couldn't happen, but we were at least able to be at the start of a round of WRC 2 and we decided to go back to the ERC where the costs are lower. »

“The fight for the title should be contested given the list of participants. We prepare for the first test by practicing the notes and studying the images from the on-board cameras”, added Alexey Lukyanuk who will always be co-driven by Alexey Arnautov.

Alexey Lukyanuk missed the title last year by 22 points behind Kajetan Kajetanowicz after taking into account the 7 best results. The Russian won the Rally Canary Islands and the Cyprus Rally. The season will begin at the Azores Rally held on the weekend of April 1 where he took 2nd place last year.
