ERC – Bryan Bouffier dominates stage one in Poland

Bryan Bouffier showed himself to his advantage this Friday on the first stage of the Rally Rzeszow in Poland, counting for the European Rally Championship ERC. The Frenchman, three-time Polish champion and four-time winner of the event, concluded the first day with a lead of 18″6 over Nikolay Gryazin (Skoda Fabia R5).

The latter, who had lost more than two minutes in SS2 after being forced to stop following the accident and the abandonment of the first leader Alexey Lukyanuk (Ford Fiesta R5), saw his time modified, and is now leading ahead of Kajetan Kajetanowicz (Ford Fiesta R5), third, 22″4 behind Bouffier.

Marijan Griebel (Skoda Fabia R5) and Sylvain Michel (Skoda Fabia R5) complete the provisional top 5 of the event at 31″5 and 37″. The Frenchman is ahead of the Norwegian Mads Ostberg (Ford Fiesta R5), leader after SS2, but victim of brake and power steering problems during the day, having caused him to lose contact with the top positions.
