ERC – Craig Breen secures victory on Rally Liepaja

Craig Breen only had to ensure in the second stage of Rally Liepaja that he won ahead of Siim Plangi and Dominykas Butvilas. Robert Consani finished in the top five.

ERC – Craig Breen secures victory on Rally Liepaja

Craig Breen (Peugeot 208 T16 R5) signs his second victory in ERC en winning Rally Liepaja in Latvia. The Northern Irishman only had to manage his lead after seeing his main adversaries being eliminated one by one. Despite his retirement in the first stage, Kajetan Kajetanowicz (Ford Fiesta R5) retains the lead in the Championship.

The podium is completed by ERC2 winner Siim Plangi (Mitsubishi Lancer Evo X) and Dominykas Butvilas (Subaru Impreza STI). Martins Svilis (Lancer Evo X) could only salvage a fourth place after receiving a half-minute penalty.

Robert Consani (Peugeot 207 S2000) achieved his objectives by finishing in the top five. The Frenchman notably took advantage of the misfortunes of Janis Vorobjovs (Lancer Evo X) who made a mistake in the last special. The latter finished seventh behind Emil Bergkvist (Opel Adam R2), victorious in ERC3.
