ERC – Craig Breen solid leader at Rallye du Valais

Craig Breen (Peugeot 208 T16) was once again dominant in the second stage of the Rally from Valais (Switzerland) by winning five of the seven special stages to increase his lead to almost a minute over his closest pursuer, Olivier Burri (DS 3 RRC). The Swiss see Alexey Lukyanuk (Ford Fiesta R5) come back to less than 14 seconds following the Russian's scratch achieved on the last course of the day.

Francois Delecour (Porsche 911 GT3) remains in fourth position despite the breakage of a suspension arm. The 1993 world vice-champion is 22 seconds behind the top three. “I was driving fast and being careful on the left turns. I'm pushing to get third place, but I don't want to crash the car.", explained the French pilot.

Florian Gonon (Peugeot 207 S2000) completes the top five, 17 seconds behind the Porsche, ahead of a handful of seconds Emil bergkvist et Pascal Perroud (Fiesta R5).

David Botka (Mitsubishi Lancer Evo IX) leads ERC2 with a one-minute lead over Subaru Impreza WRX STI of Vojtech Staff. The category leader occupies 14th place in the general classification.

The final stage of the Rallye du Valais will begin this Saturday, October 31 from 9:55 a.m.
