ERC – Idris Elba at the start of the Circuit of Ireland Rally

Well known to fans of the “seventh art”, less so to motorsport fans, Idris Elba is preparing to compete, from April 2 to 4, in the Circuit of Ireland Rally, the third round of theERC. He will be there at the wheel of a Ford Fiesta R1 that he recently discovered during a test session in Monaghan, Ireland. This participation will result in a television documentary broadcast on Discovery TV. He will be supported in his adventure by Jimmy McRae, seven-time winner of the event and father of Colin and Alister.

Aged 42, Idris Elba played the role of Nelson Mandela in Mandela: a long road to freedom. He has also been seen at work, among others, in American Gangster, Prometheus, RocknRolla, Thor or even Pacific Rim so when the series The Wire et Luther, which allowed him to receive the Emmy Award for Best Actor in a Mini-Series or TV Film in 2014.
