ERC – Robert Consani switches to Peugeot 207 S2000

Robert Consani will no longer defend the interests of Renault Sports next year. The Frenchman who was at the wheel of a Mégane RS N4 took a new step by choosing the Peugeot 207 S2000 from the Italian Delta Rally team (which notably included Bryan Bouffier this year) to line up for the next rounds of theERC. The French driver will have a lot to learn since he has only driven a two-wheel drive car so far. His program has not yet been finalized but the new recruit of the Italian team hopes to compete in all the events at the Championship.

“I’m impatient but it’s going to be complicated, especially at the Jännerrallye (January 3 to 5)”, commented Robert Consani who will always be co-driven by Vincent Landais. “I've never driven in snow, I've never been behind the wheel of a four-wheel drive and so I'll be completely in the unknown. But the team is competitive and the car inevitably will be. It's a step towards the top of the category and it's a great motivation. In Austria, the objective will simply be to stay on the road and reach the finish. We can start attacking more later in the year. »
