ERC – Sarrazin couldn’t do better in Corsica

Stéphane Sarrazin took the last step of the podium behind Bryan Bouffier and Jan Kopecky at the end of the Tour de Corsica. The 2004 French rally champion achieved his best result in Rally des 10 000 Virages pour son quatrième départ sur cette épreuve au volant de la Mini JCW RRC du First Motorsports qu’il découvrait. Le pilote officiel de Toyota en endurance a livré une superbe bagarre face à Craig Breen who failed just three seconds behind the Frenchman. “I think doing the rally a second time would be a good idea, but I don't think we'll find many volunteers. But it would be difficult to do better because we were always a few tenths short of the others. However, it is true that I made progress on the second day because I had a good battle against Craig Breen. Craig proved he was the fastest driver on this rally. »

The former French rally champion discovered the Mini JCW RRC after driving a Peugeot 207 S2000 for several years. The French pilot recognizes that the differences were difficult to notice, many things being new with this model. “There is a lot of power available compared to the S2000. It's difficult to judge because I drove a Peugeot for five years and I felt confident behind the wheel. I struggled to find grip with this (Mini JCW RRC), but I gradually felt more comfortable as time went on. My impression is that this car has good speed and potential for the future. »
