ERC – Yves Matton: “Kubica can win” in the Canaries

He has what it takes to win. This is essentially the opinion of Yves Matthon, the boss of Citroën Racing, who is preparing to entrust a DS3 RRC to Robert Kubica for his debut, next week at the rally of the Canaries, in the European Rally Championship (ERC).

“When I see the times he did during the Var rally I think he can win in the Canaries although I don’t know the level of the other drivers in this championship”, explains Yves Matton, who nevertheless prioritizes the learning of his driver before the results. “A lot of things will be new for him although he is very talented and very motivated. It?s a season to learn, not to try to win every rally?, concludes the Belgian.

This Monday Robert Kubica trained for the first time on board the Citroën DS3 RRC. As for the Canaries Rally, it will take place from March 21 to 23.
