Craig Breen returns for the first time to compete in an IRC Series event since his accident at Targa Florio where his former co-driver Gareth Roberts lost his life. The Irishman managed to get through this difficult period as best he could to shine in S-WRC by winning the last two events in Wales and Alsace to lead the Championship. Returning to Sanremo at the wheel of a Peugeot 207 S2000, the Saintéloc Racing driver will have everything to discover on this rally asphalt which he has never contested.
The Irishman draws on the experience of his new co-driver Paul Nagle who already won this Italian event three years ago with Kris Meeke. “It's the first time I'm competing in this rally but I'm lucky because I have Paul by my side, he will be of great help to me,” comments the Peugeot driver. “There will be a close competition between the regular IRC drivers and the growing number of Italian privateers, but we will do everything to achieve a good result for the team. I am delighted to have the opportunity to race in the IRC again. »
