Kopecky wins Barum Czech Rally Zlin

Despite suffering multiple punctures on the first day of Barum Czech Rally Zlin, Jan Kopecky (Skoda) was able to catch up on the second day to regain the lead of the race with two stages to go. The Czech finally won by a little less than 8 seconds ahead of Alexey Lukyanuk (Ford) who favored safety with a view to the title.

Dani Sordo (Hyundai) completed the podium for his first participation in the Czech event. The official driver of the Korean brand beat Miroslav Jakes (Skoda) by only 3 tenths.

Nikolay Gryazin (Skoda) was in the fight for the podium, but the Latvian winner of the U28 category fell to 5th place after having difficulty with the rain tires on the last courses. The rest of the Top 10 is almost monopolized by the Fabia R5s, with the exception of Laurent Pellier who took 10th place on his Peugeot 208 T16 R5.
