ERC launches virtual Azores Rally on Dirt Rally 2.0
Le Rally of the Azores (Portugal), which was to serve as the first round of the European Rally Championship (ERC) end of March, is postponed to September 17-19. To wait out the period of confinement linked to the coronavirus, Grupo Desportivo Comercial, the organizers of the event, are launching… a virtual rally.
To tackle the virtual Azores Rally, nothing too complicated. All you need is the Dirt Rally 2.0 video game on PC (Steam), PlayStation 4 or Xbox One, and online access.
The competition will take place over 12 special stages, only with vehicles meeting the Rally2 (R5) category, from March 23 to 29. The creation of the English studio Codemasters does not include the Azores, the rally will take place on the special stages of New Zealand, very similar to the Portuguese island.
Registrations are open until March 21 at 23:59 p.m. by simple email to virtual@azoresrallye.com.
