The R4 kit present in ERC

R4 cars made by Oreca will now be eligible in the ERC2 category of the European Championship. The French manufacturer's mounts will be able to face the GRT and the N4 in the second section of the discipline.

“We are pleased with the confirmation that cars equipped with the R4 kit will be part of the ERC2 category of the European Rally Championship in 2019, commented Carlos Pina Vaz, R4 sales manager at Oreca. The R4 category corresponds perfectly to theERC, with its four-wheel drive, its ability to operate on dirt and asphalt, and its cost/performance ratio which is well in line with the philosophy of the teams and drivers competing in the ERC. Interest was already strong and this announcement created real enthusiasm, among the teams already engaged in R4, but also among the structures which showed their wish to align themselves. »

The R4 kit debuted last November with a 2nd place acquired by Osian Pryce at the Rally Terre Ciudad de Grenada (Spain). Oreca has already sold its kit in several regions, notably in Argentina with RC Competicion, in South Africa with Rally Technic, in Finland with Tahkomobili, in Lithuania with Pro Racing, in Austria with Signed Streets Motorsport and in France with Milano Racing .
