After Rally of Ypres, this is the other major international meeting of Belgian rallies which cannot be held due to the deterioration of the health situation in the face of Covid-19. Expected to be there final of the European Rally Championship ERC, the Spa Rally event cannot be held on December 12 and 13.

“A decision taken by mutual agreement with the Mayor of Spa Sophie Delettre and the Governor of the province of Liège Hervé Jamar after assessment of the health situation and analysis of the conditions that could allow the event to be held in complete safety. » indicates DG Sport, in charge of the event.

I would like to thank the City of Spa and the other municipalities hosting the special stages, our sponsors, the Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps, the Royal Automobile Club of Belgium, the promoter of the Belgian Rally Championship, the AMC Sankt Vith, as well as Eurosport Events, promoter of the FIA ​​European Rally Championship, for the support and trust they have placed in us.

In fact, the 2020 ERC season will end in the Canary Islands in around ten days. A cancellation of the Spa Rally which also benefits Ken Torn, who pockets the ERC3 and ERC3 Junior titles with his Ford Fiesta Rally4.
