Neuville contending for victory at Ypres

Thierry Neuville made an impression by winning the Tour de Corse. The Kronos Racing team driver is currently in fourth place in the Championship after his third place at the Yalta Rally, held in Ukraine.

Marc Van Dalen expects his driver to take a victory at home which would put him back in the Championship race. “Thierry has a real chance this season of winning the Rally of Ypres », comments the co-owner of Kronos Racing. “I feel that he has a physical and mental level allowing him to live up to the hopes placed in him. »

" With the help of Peugeot Sport, we carried out two days of testing in order to refine the set-up of the car, Thierry is in the best possible condition”, adds Marc Van Dalen. “He finished third in 2010, achieving times close to the best. But his progress has been astonishing in one season. His last three rallies, particularly his success in Corsica, are proof that he is capable of winning. »

The first stage of the Ypres Rally begins tomorrow with six stages, the first starting at 16:49 p.m.
