Nikolay Gryazin sovereign in Poland

Leader threatened by Jari Huttunen (Hyundai i20 R5) last night, Nikolay Gryazin (Skoda Fabia R5) did not fail this Sunday on the last six specials on the Rajd Rzeszowski program in Poland.

Huttunen struck first this morning on the Pozezdrze SS, coming back to 8″ behind Gryazin. But the latter regained the margin by winning during the following two specials to have a 13″ lead before the last loop.

On the same Pozezdrze sector, Huttunen took advantage of the second pass to hit hard in SS13 and beat Gryazin by 4″1, thus returning to 8″9 overall.

But for a late score at the start of SS14, Huttunen was penalized with a 10″ penalty. Despite a final scratch, the Finn ultimately failed 8″3 behind Gryazin, who scored his first success of the year.

Chris Ingram (Skoda Fabia R5) completes the podium at 2'25”. Fabian Kreim (Skoda Fabia R5) and Mikolaj Marcyzk (Skoda Fabia R5) entered the top 5. Gryazin also won in ERC U28, while Tom Kristensson (Opel Adam R2) wins in ERC U27.
