Hungarian Rally – Andreas Mikkelsen champion

A week after winning the WRC2 world title, the Norwegian won the ERC. Marked by numerous punctures and the penalty imposed on Nikolay Gryazin, the moral winner, the penultimate round of the season fell to Mads Østberg.

Hungarian Rally – Andreas Mikkelsen champion

With a 74-point lead over Efren Llarena and 71 over Mikolaj Marczyk, it would have taken a cataclysm to prevent Andreas Mikkelsen from achieving the second part of his goal in 2021. The Viking wanted to win WRC2 and theERC. By winning these two titles, Andreas wanted to appear as the best choice in the list of applicants for a seat in WRC.
