Rally – Freddy Loix ends his career

Freddy Loix announced during a press conference held today in Brussels that he was ending his professional racing career. The Limburger is a figure in Belgian motorsport since he won the Belgian Championship title four times from 2013 to 2016.

“One of the reasons why I quit is because I was offered an excellent professional situation, commented Freddy Loix, cited by The future. One of my loyal sponsors offered to take care of public relations for several dealerships in the Volkswagen group, including Skoda. It's a challenge that suits me and I felt that the time had come to do something else. »

Author of 89 starts in WRC from 1993 to 2004, Freddy Loix won a total of 4 podiums including 3 in the Rally from Portugal. The Belgian is best known for being the record holder for victories in his national event at the Ypres Rally with 11 victories won.

“I have been very lucky in life and rallies have given me a lot. I now want to give something back to sport and help a young person”, added Freddy Loix.
