Robert Kubica at Monte-Carlo

Robert Kubica will participate in his third rally aboard a Renault Clio R3. Recruited by the French manufacturer for the next world championship Formula 1 At the beginning of last autumn, the Pole showed himself at the Taormina-Messina rally and at the Rallye du Var. During the last event of the French championship, Kubica finished in 29th place overall, seven minutes behind the first Renault Clio R3 of Mathieu Arzeno, elected 2009 hopeful by Echappement magazine.

At the Monte-Carlo Rally, Robert Kubica will once again defend the colors of Renault, the Pole having recently chosen to confirm his commitment to the French manufacturer's team in F1. Due to the agreement between the IRC and Renault Sport Technologies, drivers participating in the Clio R3 European Trophy will be able to score IRC points during the European rounds of the series, and in particular the Monte-Carlo Rally. Renault will not score any as a manufacturer, having not registered, but drivers will be able to benefit from media coverage on Eurosport if their ranking is high enough.

Far from these considerations, Robert Kubica will however have the opportunity to satisfy his passion for rallying once again, more than two months after the end of the Formula 1 season. There is no doubt that alongside the Hirvonens, Ogier, Sarrazin, Vouilloz, Wilks, the Pole will not lack requests.
