A first provisional schedule revealed

After a year strongly affected by the health crisis, theERC aims for a return to normality in 2021. Thus, the first provisional calendar consists of eight meetings as this season's should have been.

Faced with the problems caused by the pandemic, the organizers have set up the “back-to-back” system to allow competitors to preserve their budget and thus see logistics costs reduced.

« It is hoped that the storage arrangements offered to participants will eliminate the requirement for teams to return to their respective bases unnecessarily. Part of the journey to transport vehicles to the next rally will actually be completed at no additional cost “, We read in the press release.

In this way, the first two rounds of the 2021 season will follow one another. For its entry into the ERC, the Fafe Rally in Portugal will open the ball (March 12-14) before that of the Azores (25-27) still on Lusitanian lands.

The campaign will resume in May with the Canary Islands Rally (May 6-8) before a new “back-to-back” between Poland (June 18-20) and Latvia (July 1-3). The 2021 season will conclude with three asphalt rounds: Rallye di Roma in Italy (July 23-25), Barum Czech Rally Zlin in the Czech Republic (August 27-29) and Rally Hungary (October 22-24).

Note that three backup rallies are planned by the ERC in the event of cancellation due to the current situation: the Sanremo Rally (Italy), the Cyprus Rally and the Spa Rally (Belgium).
