Volkswagen confirms Julien Maurin

As AUTOhebdo.fr announced, Julien Maurin will be at the start of the Intercontinental Rally Challenge this season. The Frenchman joins the Rene Georges Rally Sport team to drive a Volkswagen Polo Super 2000 in six events.

Volkswagen confirms Julien Maurin

Already present on the Rally Automobile Monte-Carlo at the start of the season with an Abarth Grande Punto Super 2000 (retirement), Julien Maurin will compete in six other IRC events in 2009 with a Volkswagen Polo Super 2000.

Co-driven by Gilles Thimonier, Julien Maurin will be at the start in the Azores, Belgium, Madeira, Czech Republic, Spain and Italy.

Another Volkswagen Polo Super 2000 could be entered for the Austrian Andreas Waldherr during the season.
