A mixed Hyundai parenthesis for Loeb

We had to wait more than twenty years before seeing Sébastien Loeb wear the colors of a manufacturer other than the Peugeot-Citroën alliance. With Hyundai, the Frenchman delivered some great performances on gravel, but also experienced difficult times on asphalt.

We thought he was branded by the Chevrons. However, a few weeks after winning the Rally of Catalonia 2018 on the Citroën C3 (see page 86), Sébastien Loeb announced to join Hyundai from Monte-Carlo 2019. This improbable transfer, which the Alsatian himself had not really planned, was made possible by the decision of Peugeot to stop his official involvement
