Esteban Ocon (Prema Powerteam) snatches a new pole at the Pau Grand Prix by setting the best time of both groups. The winner of Race 1 completed a lap in 1'10"192 with a lead of 57 thousandths over Max Verstappen (Van Amersfoort Racing). In the second group, Felix Rosenqvist (Mücke Motorsport) only failed by five thousandths of the reference time! The Swede should therefore start alongside the Championship leader ahead of the Dutchman.
Esteban Ocon also secured first place on the grid for Race 3 in the second fastest times for a few thousandths ahead of Felix Rosenqviste and Max Verstappen.
