By winning the first race of the weekend Formula 3 British at Rockingham, Jazeman Jaafar took the lead in the championship ahead of Carlos Sainz Jr, only ninth in this event following a 30-second penalty for not respecting track limits. Starting from pole position, Alex Lynn took the second step of the podium ahead of Felix Serrallés.
