From tomorrow, Chris Atkinson will defend the colors of Proton during the centenary edition of Rally Monte Carlo. Even if the Australian is well aware that his Satria Neo S2000 should not allow him to win, he is delighted to take part in a legendary event that he appreciates.
“Starting the season with the Monte Carlo is something magnificent, affirms the former resident of Prodrive in WRC. As a rally driver, this is the traditional place where the year begins. I have always done well during this event, but it is really very hard. Driving in the Alps in January, you never really know what awaits you after the next bend: It could be dry asphalt, wet asphalt, snow or even ice. It is a big challenge for the teams and the drivers. Making the right choice of tires is an essential factor. »
