On the sidelines of the 4 Hours of Le Castellet, opening event of the 2020 European season Le Mans Series, the inaugural round of the Ligier European Series was held this afternoon. On this occasion, Valentin Simonet, AUTO test driverhebdo (you can find in issue number 2269, currently on newsstands, the test of the Duqueine D08), was invited to take the wheel of the Larbre Compétition Ligier JS P4 no. 34 alongside Alexandre Yvon.
And the least we can say is that the two men were not unworthy. They first finished 3rd in the JS P4 class after a first race won by the JS P4 of Andrea Dromedari, who had the advantage of racing alone.
In the second, Valentin and Alexandre honored the pole position signed yesterday by the first named. The Larbre Compétition Ligier #34 won after Alexandre Yvon overtook Andrea Dromedari during the last lap.
