Pierre Campana (Mini Countryman S) should win Rally Mont-Blanc after completing the last special stage of the event. Frédéric Comte (Peugeot 307 WRC) was nevertheless the provisional leader until the finish but the Peugeot driver is waiting to receive a ten-minute penalty for having clocked in at the start of the first special of the afternoon ten minutes ahead.
