Kris Meeke (Peugeot 207 S2000) achieves a new best time during the fifth special of the Rally of the Canary Islands. The Northern Irishman widens the gap at the top of the general classification, he now has a 14??4 lead over Jan Kopecky (Skoda Fabia S2000) and 19??5 over Juho Hänninen (Skoda Fabia S2000). Thierry Neuville (Peugeot 207 S2000) is seventh overall, 1:04:9 behind Kris Meeke.
