Nicolas lapierre distinguished himself during the qualifying session of the 8 Hours of Le Castellet, the young Frenchman allowed the Peugeot 908 HDi FAP from the Oreca team to take pole position on the Paul-Ricard circuit (1:41:195). Dindo Capello (Audi R15 TDI) sets the second time (1:41:632), ahead of the Lola Aston Martin Racing of Stefan Mücke (1) and the Oreca 42-AIM of Loïc duval (1?42??685).
In LMP2, it is the HPD ARX-01c of Strakka Racing which will start from pole on Sunday at 11 a.m., while the Ferrari F430 n°96 from AF Corse, driven by Gianmaria Bruni, took first place in qualifying in GT2.
