Thierry Neuville (Peugeot ) takes advantage of a spin from Andreas Mikkelsen (Skoda) to take the lead of the Rally of Cyprus before mid-stage assistance. The Belgian completed the 18,16km on asphalt at Salamiou in 11. “I attacked really hard, I can be as much as possible on the asphalt and I took advantage of it”, explains the new leader of the event.

Behind Nasser Al-Attiyah (Ford) at 11??2, Jan Kopecky (Skoda) failed at 13??2 from the Peugeot driver's scratch. Andreas Mikkelsen?s mistake caused him to lose 16?8 to the new leader of the Cyprus Rally. “My spin made me lose a good ten seconds. But that’s how it is, I have to attack if I want to win”, comments the Norwegian.

Freddy Loix (Skoda) loses another 18??7 on the lead of the event while Patrik Sandell (Skoda) is more than 25 seconds behind.

Thierry Neuville is 8??8 ahead of Andreas Mikkelsen. Jan Kopecky is 3rd ahead of Nasser Al-Attiyah and Patrik Sandell.
