Dany Snobeck (Citroën C4 WRC), who could be of some help to Cédric Robert (Peugeot 307 WRC) in the title race by depriving Bryan Bouffier (Peugeot 207 S2000) of a few points, retired during SS3 (Collobrières) of Rally of the Var. The 2008 French Champion previously occupied third place in the general classification.

At the end of SS3, Cédric Robert is still the leader, with a 38??0 lead over Brice Tirabassi (Subaru Impreza WRC) and 1?02?? on Bryan Bouffier. The latter is followed by Pierre Roché (Peugeot 307 WRC), less than ten seconds behind. Followed by Jean-Sébastien Vigion (Peugeot 207 S2000), Robert Kubica (Renault Clio S1600) and Stéphane Sarrazin (Peugeot 207 S2000).

In the R3 category duel, Manu Guigou (Renault Clio R3) is ahead Sébastien Ogier (Citroën DS3 R3) by almost fifteen seconds.
