Pushed by 3.000 of his compatriots, Jānis Baumanis completed the Euro RX weekend in Riga (Latvia) in the best possible way. On pole in the final, the Latvian was uncompromising against Fabien Pailler and his Peugeot 208.
Coming out of the first turn in the lead, the local then showed great consistency to never give in to his French rival. Fabien Pailler relegated to 4 seconds after his passage by the Joker at the end of the 3rd lap, Jānis Baumanis then only had to ensure to win at home for the first time in his career. Done.
