Denny Hamlin sa signé sa deuxième victoire de la saison en Sprint Cup, samedi soir à Richmond. Le pilote Toyota led for 298 of the 400 laps of the race and managed to get the better of his opponents, in particular Jeff Gordon with whom he fought most of the night.
It was also the last event before the chase. Hamlin thus finished fourth overall. The last qualifying position was taken by Brian Vickers.
