Johan Kristoffersson (Volkswagen Polo GTi – PSRX VW Sweden) was the fastest in the second qualifying round at Trois-Rivières in Canada in World RX. The championship leader, author of a benchmark time of 3:25, is ahead of his teammate Petter Solberg by four tenths and Mattias Ekström (Audi S003 – EKS RX) by more than three seconds.
Ken Block (Ford Focus RS RX – Hoonigan Racing Division) and Toomas Heikkinen (Audi S1 – EKS RX) complete the top 5. Sébastien Loeb (Peugeot 208 WRX – Team Peugeot-Hansen) took 15th place.
In the provisional ranking before the last two qualifying rounds which are decisive for access to the semi-finals, Johan Kristoffersson precedes Toomas Heikkinen and Petter Solberg, with Mattias Ekström and Kevin Eriksson (Ford Fiesta – MJP Racing Team Austria) completing the top 5.
Sébastien Loeb is 11th and still provisionally qualified for the final stages, unlike his teammate Timmy Hansen, 14th after Q2. Jean-Baptiste Dubourg (Peugeot 208 – DA Racing), 15th and 14th this Saturday, ranks 17th in the general classification of the event, while his teammate Grégoire Demoustier, twice 19th, brings up the rear.
