Nicolas lapierre, poleman at Silverstone and winner of the 1000 km with Olivier Panis, is proud of the work carried out by Oreca to develop a competitive car. The 2005/06 A1GP champion hopes that the experience gained will be essential in 2011, for the arrival of the new prototype.

« Since the takeover of Courage, Oreca has worked constantly and the car has progressed enormously., concedes the native of Thonon-les-Bains. It must be said that the gap with the other cars was really significant at the start. It takes a long time to fill in, especially since the regulations don't help us. But Oreca has made good progress on the design of the car, in terms of the aero kit, but also in terms of operation: settings, strategy, management of pit-stops during the race. The team is learning a lot and gaining experience. The objective is to have a ?tip top?? team, ready for 2011, when we will have our new car. »
