The Spa-Francorchamps circuit began work on November 15, 2021. These renovations concern the track and the infrastructure. The Belgian track will indeed host the 24 Hours of Spa EWC Motos on June 4 and 5, 2022 and for this FIM grade C homologation is necessary. To this end, clearances are widened and gravel traps are installed. Photos of this work have been published.

On the Blanchimont side, turns 16 and 17, the platform of turn 17 is widened to reveal a gravel trap. To enable this, the rail is moved. The turn 16 runoff becomes a gravel trap (Photo: Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps)

The clearance at the Source bend is widened to increase safety on the track with the appearance of a gravel trap. The 24-hour stand will be replaced by “a new stand that is more modern and better integrated into its environment. » (Photo: Spa-Francorchamps circuit)
