Olivier Panis will take his first steps in competition at the wheel of the Peugeot 908 this weekend at the 8 Hours of Le Castellet, first round of Le Mans Series 2010. The ex-driver of Formula 1 does not hide his ambitions. Only one goal: the top step of the podium.
“This year, I only think about one thing: victory, declares the Grenoblois on the official Oreca website. I have always had this philosophy and it has not changed. The ideal preparation for the 24 Hours of Le Mans is to win. So, as always, I have one desire as a driver: to obtain the best possible result. The presence of the Audi R15 plus adds a little spice to this first test. We approach it with even more humility and respect. But it also strengthens our motivation. We want to prove that Team ORECA-Matmut has the potential to aim for victory in the Le Mans Series and the podium at Le Mans. »
