Starting in pole position, the Courage-Oreca driven by Olivier Panis and Nicolas lapierre won the Silverstone 1000 km on Sunday ahead of the Lola-Aston Martin from Speedy Racing Team Sebah. Third, Mücke, Enge and Charouz completed the podium at the wheel of the first official Aston Martin. The crew of number 007 wins the title for Aston Martin, fifty years after the British firm's victory in the 24 Hours of Le Mans.
