If a driver and his team are always satisfied with taking a pole position, they know that in endurance, given the length of the races, the place on the starting grid does not play a primordial role for the final result. Author this afternoon of the best qualifying time for the 1000 Km of Silverstone, Allan McNish is more satisfied with the behavior of his car than with his time.

“We know that this is not the most important thing during an endurance race, explains the Scotsman. It is more important to know that the car has performed well whatever the conditions encountered so far. We were able to be consistent while achieving good times. This means that the engineers from Ingolstadt and Neckarsulm can be very proud of their work. »
