After the best time in the super special on Thursday evening, Kris Meeke (Peugeot 207 S2000) had left the controls of the Rally of Madeira Wines in Giandomenico Basso, imperial Friday. But the latter gives up little ballast in the last special stages of the day. During SS11, it was Bruno Magalhaes who achieved his second fastest time of the day. And in SS12, Kris Meeke once again showed his driving skills. If the race lead is unattainable for the Briton, he can hope to return to a more flattering rank than his current sixth place.
