Andreas Mikkelsen (Ford Fiesta S2000), after a difficult season, ended the year on a positive note by winning the Golden Stage of Rally of Cyprus, last event of the IRC. This “golden special”, which did not count for the final classification of the Cyprus Rally and which therefore lacked interest despite being broadcast live, allowed Mikkelsen to collect the bonus of 40 euros.
This special, contested over two runs, allowed Nasser Al-Attiyah to be the fastest during the second pass. But, in the general classification of the two passages, it was Mikkelsen who won. Bryan Bouffier (Peugeot 207 S2000), after a difficult weekend, reassured himself by finishing third in this Goldent Stage.
