Sébastien Loeb (Peugeot ) set the best time in Q1 of the World RX in Montalegre (Portugal) by winning his heat. The nine-time champion of WRC ahead of Mattias Ekström (Audi) and reigning world champion Johan Kristoffersson (Volkswagen). Guerlain Chicherit (Renault) took the fourth fastest time ahead of Andreas Bakkerud (Audi).
Timmy Hansen (Peugeot) a terminé avec le sixième chrono. Kevin Eriksson (Ford) suit en septième place devant les Hyundai i20 de Niclas Grönholm et Timur Timerzyanov. Petter Solberg (Volkswagen) doit se contenter du dixième temps devant Kevin Hansen (Peugeot), Janis Baumanis (Ford) et Robin Larsson (Ford). Le Belge Grégoire Demoustier (Peugeot) est 14e devant Jérôme Grosset-Janin (Renault).
