Joey Logano, at 19, becomes the youngest driver to win a Sprint Cup race at New Hampshire Motor Speedway. Logano took the lead of the race on the 264th lap, with nearly 40 remaining on the schedule. Second, Jeff Gordon saved his fuel to gain an advantage over his young rival but the rain ruined his hopes three laps later. After six laps spent idling, the cars saw the red flag waved, after 273 laps. Victory therefore went to Joey Logano, happy to have found himself in the lead when the sky appeared.
