Tony Stewart (Stewart-Haas Racing) wins for the second consecutive time by winning the Texas race. Smoke, who won his 4th victory in the Chase, came within 3 points of Carl Edwards (Roush Fenway Racing), 2nd in the event. Matt Kenseth (Roush Fenway Racing), 4th behind Kasey Kahne (Red Bull) and Kevin Harvick (Richard Childress Racing), 13th in the event, almost lose any chance of being titled. Jimmie Johnson (Hendrick Motorsports) lost his hopes of victory by only finishing 14th.
